Press Computer Systems Ltd is part of the Claverley Group, a British group, which includes the Wolverhampton Express & Star (now in its second century), the Shropshire Star, Precision Colour Printing, and the Guiton Group (Jersey Evening Post, Guernsey Press, Itex Group, CIN Group). Press Computer Systems Ltd fully respect the confidential nature of each individual customer and therefore, whilst enjoying the financial backing of a major publishing group, operates as a totally independent company. The company was formed in 1973 from a development team whose brief had been to design and install specialist software for Claverley Group newspapers. The facilities offered by this advanced software attracted so much interest from other publishers that a separate company was formed to market the systems.
